Our friendly doctors and office staff are always happy to assist new and existing patients throughout their dentist visits. They will help arrange and manage your appointments and follow-up visits and answer any questions and concerns that you may have.
Dr. Azim Parekh, DDS
Dr. Parekh graduated with a Bachelor of Science and majored in Mathematics and Physical Chemistry with a minor in Astronomy from the University of Toronto. He later Graduated with Honors from the University of Western Faculty of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Parekh lives by the business philosophy of dentistry prevention. He is renowned for his exceptional chair side manner and loves to impart his wisdom in educating his patients on the best oral care for them. Even children love coming to see him! He is an expert in many dentistry fields, has extensive training and continues to educate himself in all the new technologies and dental advancements. Dr. Parekh not only wants to see you have a great smile but also wants to make a difference in the lives of every patient he sees.
Dr. Tanita Pruthi, DDS
Dr. Tanita Pruthi has been a part of Southside Dental since 2018. Along with her team, she strives to provide excellence to each patient in her chair, taking their individual health, habits and lifestyle into account. Coming from a family of dentists, she understands that the best patient experience comes from personalized care, provided in a calm and comfortable environment. Dr. Pruthi spends the time to get to know her patients and has built strong relationships with their families, many of whom have now become her patients.
During her time at Southside dental, Dr. Pruthi has built a reputation for providing gentle, comfortable and relatively painless anesthesia to her patients. She has received extensive training in working with people who have dental anxiety. She is certified in providing oral sedation, nitrous oxide and combined conscious sedation. Her calm and gentle chair side manner works especially well with children who may experience dental anxiety.
Dr. Pruthi graduated with Honours from the prestigious SUNY school of dental medicine in Buffalo NY, where she received her doctorate in dental surgery. Known for its focus on patient-centred clinical education, SUNY gave her the skills she needed to practice a wide spectrum of dental procedures. She is well versed in dental implants, porcelain veneers, crown and bridge, root canals, extractions, fillings and chair side whitening. She is also certified in Invisalign. Whatever your dental needs or desires may be, Dr. Pruthi has the remedy to restore your bright smile to its full aesthetic brilliance and functionality!
Since moving to Manitoba, Dr. Tanita has been exploring the many hiking trails this province has to offer with her husband and son. She also enjoys cooking, travelling and indulging in reality television every now and then. If you’re in the St. Vital area, drop by Southside Dental and meet us!
Dr. Ebon Park, DMD
Dr. Ebon Park graduated in 2001 from the dental school of Chonnam National University located in Gwangju and achieved her master’s degree of Clinical orthodontics in 2015 at the school of medicine of Ewha Woman’s University located in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Park had practiced dentistry in South Korea for over 16 years, owning and operating her own dental office. She has vast experience dealing with a gamut of dental aspects such as root canal therapy, oral surgery, restorative and prosthodontic treatments, and pediatrics. She has been actively involved in upgrading to high-end and advanced techniques in CBCT technology, Implant Dentistry, Sinus Augmentation, Esthetic and orthodontic dentistry, and many more. To expand her reign as a dentist, she first joined in American Academy of Implant dentistry in 2008 and has achieved a fellow associate membership since 2012. To advance her career abroad she cleared all NDEB equivalency exams in June 2017, moved all the way to Winnipeg in the same year, and became a Canadian board-certified general dentist shortly after.
Throughout her everlasting education and career, she learned the importance of listening to the patient carefully, delivering high-quality dental work, and building long-lasting trustworthy relationships. She strives to be the best clinician she can be and to learn the most cutting-edge and innovative dental technologies. Dr. Park always aims at making people feel comfortable, listen to their needs, and help them to achieve a happy, healthy, and long-lasting smile. When she is not in the dental clinic, she enjoys movies, eateries, traveling, and spending time with her family. Dr. Park has joined Southside dental team since June of 2019 and is very much enjoying working with the staff, as well as all the patients here.
Dr. Natalie Harder (nee Rosenthal), DMD
Dr. Natalie Harder (nee Rosenthal) was born and raised in Winnipeg. She graduated in 2019 from the University of Manitoba with a double degree: a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Her research on universal adhesives, which is the material used to keep fillings in place, won first place nationally at the Canada Dental Association Conference. She went on to represent Canada and be recognized internationally for her research at the International Association for Dental Research Conference. She has received the Dr. John Grahame Scholarship for community service and high academic standing.
Dr. Harder has a passion for teaching and teaches at the University of Manitoba. She has taught clinical and hands on courses for first, second, and third year dental students. Dr. Harder takes that passion for teaching into how she explains procedures and options to patients.
She aspires to create positive dental experiences with her calm and gentle approach. During her studies, she was the recipient of the Dr. Edgar N. Cole Memorial Scholarship for the highest standing in the course of pain and anxiety control. She also has been trained in nitrous oxide sedation to help patients with dental anxiety.
Besides dentistry, Dr. Harder’s other passions include spending time with family, creating art, being in nature, and taking care of her chinchilla.
